A woman compared her husband’s cruelty to the sharp edge of cutting bamboo, and thus they named the area Kaneohe. Boasting some of the most beautiful and impressive views of the Ko’olau Mountain range. See for yourself, especially after a few hours of rain, the crags become a map of waterfalls.

Thousands are born here every year, where they spend the first few months of their lives before swimming out to open waters. Another attraction here, is the Kaneohe Sandbar, a popular spot for a barbecue if you have a boat. At the north end of the Bay, you find Kualoa Regional Park. Here, you will find a spacious park and plenty of picnic tables. If you want to camp, you need a permit, but camping is permitted. This is also a great location to take your kayaks out and head to the island of Mokoli’i, about one-third of a mile away.
